Care Interiors
Structured interior planning, design and specification for care environments.
We deliver structured interior planning and design for care environments, supporting projects from early feasibility through to detailed specification.
Every stage is carefully managed to ensure interior information is clear, coordinated and aligned with the operational and programme requirements of your scheme.
Integrating Interiors into Your Programme
Creating a new care home or refurbishing an existing one is inherently complex. Interior planning must be integrated carefully with the wider construction programme to ensure decisions are made at the right time and information is issued in a coordinated manner.
With many interdependent elements — from spatial layout and services coordination through to finishes and furnishings — interior decisions influence programme, budget and compliance. Clear communication and structured scheduling are therefore essential.
We support this process by developing an interior programme aligned with your contractor’s key milestones, ensuring design information is available when required to maintain progress on site.
Where possible, we prefer to become involved at the earliest stages, often working alongside the architect during planning. Early engagement allows interior requirements to inform spatial layouts and functional considerations from the outset. However, we can also join a project at later stages, tailoring our involvement to suit the programme and scope.

Post-project review
Experienced in delivering large new-build and refurbishment projects, we work closely with architects, structural, mechanical and electrical consultants to ensure interior information is fully coordinated and integrated within the wider design team.
If you are planning a project and would like to discuss how we can support you at any stage, we would be pleased to hear from you.
The Design Process
Following initial briefing meetings, we develop a detailed brief and schedule of requirements reflecting operational needs, resident experience and regulatory considerations.
A clear design timeline is then established, aligned with the overall build programme. Design information is issued in structured stages to meet contractor and consultant requirements.
Presentation material includes carefully curated boards and schedules detailing selected finishes, furnishings and fixtures, providing a clear record of agreed decisions.
Once approved, we compile a comprehensive information package suitable for contractor issue, ensuring clarity and coordination across all interior elements.
Designing interiors for care environments is complex and detail-driven. We manage the process in full, ensuring clarity, coordination and continuity from initial brief through to completion.
Delivery & On-Site Coordination
During the build phase, we remain available to respond to queries and assist in resolving interior-related matters promptly.
We can provide on-site design coordination, including attendance at design team meetings and review visits, helping ensure that the built outcome reflects the agreed documentation.
Where required, we also deliver a coordinated furnishings procurement and installation service, supplying furniture, soft furnishings, artwork and accessories to complete the interior scheme.
We undertake post-project review as part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.
